Reference substance (positive control):
no
Duration:
96 h
Dose descriptor:
LC0
Effect conc.:
> 100 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mortality (fish)
Remarks on result:
other: Equates to >=79.6 mg/l of organic components.
Details on results:
The test result refers to a concentration of the test substance, which was calculated directly from analytically determined TOC values. According to the relevant product information, 1 mg/l TOC equals to 2.6 mg/l of the organic components of the test substance.
As these organic components correspond to 73%
of the molecular weight of the test substance 100 mg/l of the test substance equals to 28.1 mg/l organic C.
Thus, the above analytical values indicate a very good recovery rate.
Some test fish had a somewhat smaller size than the one recommended in the test guideline for the zebra fish. Deviating from the preliminary test, a mortality rate of 10% was detected in the main test at the limit test concentration of 100 mg/l. The validity criteria of the above test guideline permit a maximum mortality of 10% in the control.
Considering all test concentrations involved, temperature fluctuation was bigger than 1⁰C in the course of the study.
Results with reference substance (positive control):
Not applicable.
