Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Suitable information that has been read across from the vacuum gas oils, hydrocracked oil and distillate fuels indicates that this category can be considered readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Degradation was achieved at varying levels in the available biodegradation in water screening tests. Two tests indicate that the substance is readily biodegradable (ignoring the 10 day window). As the 10 day window is not relevant to UVCB substances, therefore the substance is considered readily biodegradable.
