The temperature dependence of the vapour pressure was calculated from a regression straight line which is based on the Antoine relationship.

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of Estron-Methylether at 25 °C was determined as 1.1E-5Pa.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted in accordance to guidance A.4 of the European Community to determine the vapour pressure of Estron-Methylether.

The vapour pressure of the test item was measured with a vapour pressure balance corresponding to the Knudsen effusion method. For measurement, the vapour jet of the test substance leaving a heatable Knudsen cell through an aperture of known size under high vacuum conditions is condensed on the cooled scale pan of a precision Cahn-microbalance. The evaporation rate is determined from the increase in weight per unit time from which the vapour pressure is calculated.
