Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Symptoms of poisoning may even occur after several hours; therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.
After inhalation of dust
Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Consult doctor if symptoms persist.
In case of unconsciousness place patient securely in side position for transportation.
After skin contact
remove any contaminated clothing.
Wash affected area with water and soap immediately and rinse thoroughly.
After eye contact
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. if symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
After swallowing
Rinse mouth with water
Call for a doctor immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fire with alcohol resistant foam.
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents Water with full jet.
Protective equipment: Use respiratory protective equipment.
Additional information
The product itself does not burn. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Accidental release measures
Avoid formation of dust.
Wear suitable respiratory protective equipment
Measures for environmental protection:
Do not allow to enter sewers / surface or ground water.
In case of spillage to water course or public sewers inform responsible authorities.
Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Arrange for recovery or disposal in suitable containers.
Dispose contaminated material as hazardous waste.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Handling and storage
Information for safe handling:
Thorough dedusting.
Ensure good ventilation/extraction at the workplace.
Open and handle receptacle with care.
Information about fire - and explosion protection:
Keep respiratory protective equipment available.
The product is not flammable
Storage
Conditions to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Keep container closed
Further information about storage conditions:
Store in dry condition
Keep receptacle tightly sealed.
