Executive summary:

With the product a determination of the acute toxicity in Zebrabarbels was performed over 96 hours according to method OECD 203.

The following results have been observed:

LC 0 (48 h): 22 mg/L

LC 50 (48 h): 50 mg/L

LC100 (48 h): 100 mg/L

LC 0 (96 h):22 mg/L

LC 50 (96 h): 33.2 mg/L

LC100: 50 mg/L

The following concentrations have been applied: 0 / 10 / / 22 / 50 / 100 / 220 mg/L In concentrations between 50 and 220 mg/L symptoms and partly fish died. Groups with concentrations 10 and 22 mg/L showed symptoms but no died fish.

Test substance is not soluble in water, which could not be improved by and also with solubilisers or emollients. Therefore the solution was treated with physical means (Ultra-Turrax, ultrasonic). Solutions were clear or turbid. A part of the substance was on water surface or bottom. Analysis is with a reasonable analytical effort not possible. Therefore the reported concentrans are nominal or target concentrations, which means they are referring to the weigted amount of substance, which was put into the test receptacle.

Lowest concentration with a 100 % mortality: 0.58 mg/L. Highest concentration with no mortality: 0.18 mg/L.
