Description of key information

The surface tension of the pure substance was reported to be 35.86 mN/m at 20 °C and 29.14 mN/m at 80 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

We have reported the surface tension of the pure substance but we did not study the surface tension of an aqueous solution of dimethyl adipate because we do not expect any surface activity for this compound, based on its chemical struture, nor is it a desired property of the material. These two reasons can be used to waive this endpoint as per Annex VII point 7.6 column 2 of the REACH regulation.
