PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

PERSISTENCE ASSESSMENT

The registration substance is readily biodegradable in an OECD 301B CO2 Evolution Test (see IUCLID Section 5.2.1) and therefore the criteria for 'P' for the PBT / vPvB Assessment is not fulfilled.

BIOACCUMULATION ASSESSMENT

The registration substance has a measured log Kow of -0.2 (see IUCLID Chapter 4.7) and therefore a low potential for bioaccumulation and biomagnification is expected. The 'B' criteria for the PBT /vPvB Assessment is not fulfilled.

TOXICITY ASSESSMENT

The lowest chronic ecotoxicity data (NOEC reproduction (21d) Daphnie 4 mg/L) is > 1 mg/L. The registration substance is neither mutagenic, reprotoxic, carcinogenic, germ cell mutagenic nor toxic for reproduction. The registration substance is not classified for chronic health effects. Therefore the 'T' criteria for the PBT / vPvB Assessment is not fulfilled.
