Description of key information

The 48 hour geometric mean EC50 for phosphoryl trichloride exposed to Daphnia magna in buffered medium was determined to be >100 mg/L, while the EC50 in non-buffered test medium was determined as 35.4 mg/L.

Additional information

A 48 hour acute Daphnia toxicity study (conducted according to OECD TG 202) was conducted exposing phosphoryl trichloride to Daphnia magna. Under pH adjusted conditions no inhibition of mobility was observed at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. Therefore, EC50 is reported to be > 100 mg/L.
