Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex X, information requirement 9.5.1, the long term toxicity to sediment organisms study does not need to be conducted as the results of the chemical safety assessment do not indicate the need to further investigate the effects of the usbstance on sediment organisms.
Furthermore, any ionic metal leaching out of the substance in environmental conditions is predicted to bind strongly to soil and sediments. On this basis the bioavailable concentration of manganese from the substances to terrestrial organisms is predicted to be much less than the background concentration of manganese in European soils (428.6 mg Mn/kg according to “Probabilistic Distribution of Manganese in European Surface Water, Sediment and Soil and Derivation of Predicted Environmental Concentrations (PEC)”, Parametrix, 2009 and supported by GEMAS data).
