Description of key information

The octanol water partition coefficient of cumyl hydroperoxide was performed using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), A standard stock solution of 12.56 ug/ml was prepared in a mixture of acetonitrile and water (70:30; v/v) and injected three times. A reference item solution was injected six times. The elution time of the test article, on a reversed-phase column, was compared with the elution behaviour of the reference mixture. The log Pow was calculated using a regression curve (log K' vs. log Pow).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
1.6
at the temperature of:
25 °C
