Test fish sampling and analyses were conducted every 2 weeks, and control fish analysis before the initiation and the termination of exposure.

Dilution water used for the test originated from underground water pumped up from the ground of Kurume Research Laboratories.
Water quality and conditions were monitored continuously to meet the ministerial ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (1978) and the water quality criteria for fisheries (1983).

Bioaccumulation studies on fish (Cyprinus carpio) showed no significant accumulation potential (BCF = 0.3 - 1.2 L/kg after 56 days). Additionally, the experimentally determined log Kow = -0.85 (BASF, 1987) also demonstrates a low potential for bioaccumulation.
