Additional information

No experimental result on the hydrolytic degradation for Fatty acids, C8-10, Me esters (CAS 85566-26-3) is available. However, in accordance with column 2 of EC 1907/2006 Annex VIII the testing does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Fatty acids, C8-10, Me esters (CAS 85566-26-3) is readily biodegradable. Therefore, hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant degradation pathway.

Based on the estimations of both main components using SRC AOP v1.92, Fatty acids, C8-10, Me esters (CAS 85566-26-3) is susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is 1.5 – 2.1 days (24 hr day; OH-concentration 0.5E+06 OH/cm³).
