Conclusion on classification

Based on EC/LC50s in fish, aquatic invertebrates, and algae of >135 mg/L, 222 mg/L, and 36.36 mg/L, respectively, the substance does not need to be classified for acute aquatic toxicity according the EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. Based on the acute data and the fact that the test substance is not readily biodegradable, the substance should be classified according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC and the EU Classification, Labeling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 as follows: R52/53 (Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment) and Chronic Env. Tox. Category 3 (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects).
