Description of key information

EU-Method A.2_Boiling point: Boils with possible decomposition over the range approximately 396 to 465 ± 0.5 K., leaving a residue.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point of the test compound was determined experimentally in compliance with EU Method A.2 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC. The determination was carried out using the distillation method at atmospheric pressure. An aliquot (100 mL) of test material was placed in a sample flask which was then connected to a condenser. The sample was heated steadily and measurements made of the sample temperature, vapour condensation temperature and the amount of distillate produced. The test compound has been determined to boil with possible decomposition over the range approximately 396 to 465 ± 0.5 K at an atmospheric pressure of 101 to 102 kPa, leaving a residue.
