Description of key information

In a 72 h toxicity study conducted according to OECD guideline 201, freshwater algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) were exposed to MDI/CHA. The concentration of test substance in all samples was below the LOQ (i.e. <0,1 mg/L). The 72 h EC10 and EC50 for growth rate reduction were above the solubility limit of MDI/CHA in test medium (<0.1 mg/L). The study is considered to be reliable without restrictions.

Additional information

In a 72 h toxicity study conducted according to OECD guideline 201, freshwater algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) were exposed to MDI/CHA at the following nominal concentration: 0 (blank-control) and 100 mg/L loading rate. The concentration of test substance in all samples was below the LOQ (i.e. <0,1 mg/L). Based on the LOQ of the analytical method, the solubility limit of MDI/CHA was <0.1 mg/L in test medium. The 72 h EC10 and EC50 for growth rate reduction were above the solubility limit of MDI/CHA in test medium (<0.1 mg/L). The study is considered to be reliable without restrictions.
