The undissociated test material has a low vapour pressure (0.001 Pa at 25 °C) and is poorly soluble (less than 8.48E-04 g/L at 20 ± 0.5 °C). However, the substance is known to dissociate in aqueous media and, for this reason, the behaviour of the free acid (oleic acid) has been modelled. The calculated Henry's Constant of 1.97 to 4.54 Pa.m3/moL indicates that the dissociated acid has a tendency to partition to air whilst the estimated Log Koc is > 4 showing that the material will absorb to organic material and therefore be less mobile in soil. The Level III Fugacity Model confirms that volatilisation to air will be the weaker effect and that approximately 74 % of the free acid will partition to soil.
