No terrestrial arthropod toxicity studies were availble for ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate.

Ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate is water soluble (5.5 * 10^4 mg/L) and has a very low potential for adsorption to organic matter (estimated Koc = 32.78 L/kg). Therefore, the predicted no effect concentration (PNEC) for soil was derived from the PNEC for freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method. Using this PNECsoil, the risk characterization shows that the PEC/PNECsoil ratio for the terrestrial environment is clearly <1, indicating no need for further information and testing.
