Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The dissociation constant is determined to pKa1 = 7.15 at 25 °C. Furthermore, a second dissociation constant pka2 = 14.44 at 25 °C could be found.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The dissociation constant is determined in a weight-of-evidence approach of three secondary sources. The values derived from these sources differ only in a minor range. The result could therefore be considered as valid. The IUPAC report is considered as the most reliable source. This value is therefore chosen as key value for the chemical safety assessment.
