The reaction mass of cyclododecanol and cyclododecanone boils between 276.5 °C and 278 °C at 1013.25 hPa, depending on the cyclododecanol / cyclododecanone ratio.

The boiling point of cyclododecanone was measured as 276.5 °C at 1013.25 hPa in a comparative ebulliometric apparatus. The boiling point of cyclododecanol was measured as 278 °C at 1013.25 hPa with the dynamic method. The reaction mass of cyclododecanol and cyclododecanone therefore boils at 1013.25 hPa between 276.5 °C and 278 °C, depending on the cyclododecanol / cyclododecanone ratio. Due to the structural similarity of the constituents, no significant irregularities in boiling behavior are expected. No azeotrop has been observed.
