Remarks
DOC values below the limit of detectability of 0.1 mg/l are indicated as 0.0
Water hardness in the test vessel: 2.5 mmol/l (14 °dH)
To gel the correct reference varues for the determination DOC elimnation and coIour elimination the measured data must be multiplicated with 0.77.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The test substance is not sufficiently eliminated from water.
- Executive summary:
Method:
The adsorption potential of the substance on activated sludge was evaluated in a static test, according to an internal mehod. The substance was incubated for 24 hours with the activated sludge, after which, the color elimination and Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) elimination were measured.
Results
Colour elimination by adsorption on activated sludge: <10 % after 1 day
DOC elimination by adsorption on activated sludge: <10 % after 1 day
Conclusion
The test substance is not sufficiently eliminated from water.
