- Conclusions:
- ln this study AMINOL (A098) was found to be toxic to zebrafish after 96 h at the nominal concentration level of 100 mg/L and higher. The LC50 (96 h) was 106 mg/L (81- 138 mg/L), the NOEC (96 h) was the test item concentration 50 mg/L (all nominal concentrations).
- Executive summary:
The acute toxicity of the test item AMINOL (A098) {batch number: R0075037) to fish (zebrafish) was determined according to OECD-Guideline for Testing of Chemieals No. 203 (1992) from 2003-08-18 to 2003-08-22 at lhe DR.U.NOACK-LABORATORIUM FüR ANGEWANDTE BIOLOGIE, 31157 Sarstedt, Germany. A static test design was chosen with nominal concentrations of 12.5 - 25 - 50 - 100 - 200 - 400 mg/L. Duration of the test was 96 h. 7 test organisms were exposed to each test concentration and control. Water quality parameters pH-value, temperature and oxygen saturation measured after 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h were determined to be within the acceptable limits. The control and test item concentrations of AMINOL (A098) were analytically verified via HPLC-UV at test start and end er whenever 100 % mortality occurred (for results see part 9.2). All effect values are based on the nominal concentrations of the test item. The acute toxicity of the test item AMINOL is summarized in the following table:
