Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a key study performed by Bengtson et al. (1986) with bleak (Alburnus alburnus) the BCF values for one major component (CDP, cresyl diphenyl phosphate) and two minor components (TPP, triphenyl phosphate and TCP, tricresyl phosphate) of Diphenyl tolyl phosphate MCS were determined. The BCF values for CDP varied between 100 and 220 due to differenct isomeric forms. The higher value was thus chosen as key value for further assessments. TPP and TCP exhibited BCF values of 400 and 800, respectively. These values were further corroborated by an additional feeding study with Phoxinus phoxinus (also performed in the study of Bengtson et al., 1986) which revealed a very low biomagnification potential. Calculated BCF values based on the logKOW for CDP (BCF = 360), TPP (BCF = 420) and TCP (BCF = 750) by Saeger et al.(1979) were well in line with the experimentally determined ones.
