Fish:

Mitschke (1987) reports the LC50 of diphenyl cresyl phospate in Danio rerio to be between 8.1 -11.5 mg/L over a 96 -hour period.

Ueda et al (1991) report the LC50 of diphenyl cresyl phosphate in Oryzia latipes to be 2.7 mg/L (24h), 1.7 mg/L (48h) and 1.3 mg/L (72h, 96h).

Aquatic invertebrates:

The 24 -hour EC50 for diphenyl cresyl phosphate in Daphnia magna was reported to be 3.7 mg/L (Japanese EA).

The toxicity and effects on reproduction of diphenyl cresyl phosphate were assessed in a 21 -day study in Daphnia magna. LC50 values declined from 4 mg/L at 24 hours to 0.35 mg/L at 14 days. EC50 values for reproduction were calculated to be 0.27 mg/L at 14 days and 0.31 mg/L at 21 days. NOEC and LOEC values were 0.12 and 0.38 mg/L, respectively (Japanese EA).

Algae:

4 -hour IC50 values are reported for diphenyl cresyl phosphate to be 500 ug/L (Anabaena flos-aquae), 700 ug/L (Ankistrodesmus falcatus) and 1000 ug/L (Scenedesmus quadricauda) (Wong & Chau, 1984).

For Disflamoll DPK, the 72 -hour EC50 (growth) was calculated to be 0.55 mg/L. The 72- hour EC50 (biomass) was calculated to be 0.27 mg/L. Corresponding NOEC values were 0.20 and 0.093 mg/L, respectively (Weyers, 2006).

The 72 -hour EC50 (biomass) for diphenyl cresyl phosphate in Selenastrum capricornatum was calculated to be 0.99 mg/L; the NOEC in this study was found to be 0.55 mg/L (Ueda et al, 1991).

The 3 -hour LC50 of diphenyl cresyl phosphate to microorganisms is reported to be >10000 mg/L, which is greater than the limit of solubility of the substance (1.3 -2.6 mg/L); Kanne (1987)
