PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance is not readily biodegradable and therefore based on initial persistence screening is expected to meet the Persistent (P) and very Persistent (vP) criteria.

An experimental evaluation of neodecanoic acid indicates that it does not meet the Bioaccumulative (B) or very Bioaccumulative (vB) criteria.

Based on acute and chronic aquatic studies neodecanoic acid does not meet the Toxic (T) criteria. Neodecanoic acid is not carcinogenic, mutagenic, or a reproductive toxin.
