In accordance with column 2 adaptation statement of Annex VII Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), the determination of the explosive properties (as required in section 7.11 of Annex VII) was waived based on a structural assessment of the substance. The test item does not contain any functional groups quoted in ‘Manual of Tests and Criteria’ (fifth revised edition, appendix 6, and table A 6.1) or Bretherick’s – Handbook (6th Edition, Volume 2, p 128 ff) which may indicate explosive properties. Therefore, it can be concluded by expert judgement that the substance has not to be considered for classification as explosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.1 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as explosive in class 1 as test item does not contain any functional groups quoted in ‘Manual of Tests and Criteria’ (fifth revised edition, appendix 6, and table A 6.1) or Bretherick’s – Handbook (6th Edition, Volume 2, p 128 ff) which may indicate explosive properties
