Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Reproductive ability of daphnids surviving exposure to a close chemical analogue of the substance is not significantly affected by test article.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Poor reproduction in 1000 mg/L treatment group rendered data unusable during an OECD guideline study using a close chemical analogue. However, a supporting study on the same material concluded that, although the structurally similar substance showed some indications of chronic toxicity to Daphnia magna, reproductive ability of daphnids surviving exposure was not significantly altered.

It is difficult to draw firm conclusions about the chronic toxicity of this material and sub-lethal effects based on these data for the analogue, however it would seem likely that based on these data the target material is unlikely to target sub-lethal or reproductive systems in the invertebrates over a prolonged exposure period.
