Acute aquatic toxicity of 2-hexyldecanoic acid[4-(6-tert-butyl-7-chloro-1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl)phenylcarbamoyl]methylester (UM-235) was investigated for different trophic levels. The tests conducted with fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae according to OECD guidelines and GLP did not show any effects up to measured concentrations of 0.031 to 0.052 mg/L (considered to be the maximum achievable concentration due to the poor solubility of the substance). No inhibitory effects on the respiration rate of aquatic microorganisms were observed up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. In view of these results it can be concluded that UM-235 is not toxic to aquatic organisms within the range of its water solubility (< 0.004 mg/L).
