Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

As the substance is a liquid, the flashpoint was determined (see flash-point section). Based on the chemical structure and handling experience, the substance does not have pyrophoric properties and does not spontaneously ignite in contact with water or air.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

As the substance is a liquid, the flashpoint of the substance was determined to be 228 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the test substance is considered ‘not flammable’. None of the components does contain groups that might lead to the evolution of a dangerous amount of flammable gas, or might lead to spontaneous ignition a short time, when coming into contact with water or damp air. No metals, transition metals, boron or silicon are present. It is not to be expected that an interaction between the different components occur. Furthermore, experience in handling during this project shows that the test substance does not ignite spontaneously after coming in contact with air at room temperature.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance does not have to be classified for flammability according to Directive 67/548/EEC and the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
