Reference
Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
From 01 February 2018 to 02 February 2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

There is not observed any thermal change of sample above 400 °C which suggests the self-ignition phenomena of test item is not occurred

Conclusions:
The test item does not have the relative self-ignition temperature.
Executive summary:

The self-ignition temperature of the test item was tested in accordance with method EU A.16, following GLP. A certain volume of the substance under test is placed in an oven at room temperature; the temperature / time curve relating to condition in the centre of the sample is recorded while the temperature of the oven is increased to 400 °C. There was not observed any thermal change of sample above 400 °C which suggests the self-ignition phenomena of test item is not occurred. The test item does not have the relative self-ignition temperature.

Description of key information
