Additional information
A reliable (Klimisch 1) short-term toxicity study with invertebrates has been conducted for HQEE and is included in this dossier.
Lawrence and Hirsch (1995) conducted a reliable (Klimisch 1) GLP compliant study following OECD 202 methods. Less than 24 hrs old Daphnia magna were exposed to control and test chemical at average measured concentrations of 99.8, 188.1, 325.6, 552.9, and 992.3 mg/L for replicate A and 100.5, 188.1, 325.4, 554.0, and 993.4 mg/L for replicate B for 48hr in a static system. Mortality/immobilization was observed daily. The 48– hr EC50was determined to be >100.2 mg/L.
A reliable (Klimisch 1) short-term toxicity study with invertebrates has been conducted for HQEE and is included in this dossier. The key study, Lawrence and Hirsch (1995), provides a 48-hr LC50 of >100.2 mg/L for Daphnia magna. Consequently this value will be taken as the short-term toxicity in aquatic invertebrate’s endpoint for HQEE.
