Description of key information

The partition coefficient of Dodecane-12-lactam, manufacturing of, by-products from, distillation residues was evaluated in a study performed in accordance with OECD testing guideline 117 and GLP requirements.
 
Since the test item is present as a complex reaction product of unknown and variable composition a range of partition coefficient values was determined. The mean partition coefficient range of duplicate determinations of Dodecane-12-lactam, manufacturing of, by-products from, distillation residues, was determined at pH 5, 7 and 9 as follows:
 
Log10 Pow (pH 5) = Un-retained to 3.07; range = ± 0.01 (major peak = 3.07)
Log10 Pow (pH 7) = Un-retained to 3.06; range = ± 0.01 (major peak = 3.06)
Log10 Pow (pH 9) = Un-retained to 5.03; range = ± 0.00 (major peak = 3.08)
