Description of key information

The flash point of Tripropenyl succinic anhydride, measured with the equilibrium method, is 67 ± 2 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
67 °C

Additional information

Two flash point studies according to ISO3679 have been performed.

The substance used for the first study had a high amount of olefinic impurities which caused a flash point of 61°C.This value cannot be considered as the inherent property of the substance.

Therefore, a second test was done with another Batch of the substance, with a lower amount of impurity, which resulted in a flash point of 67°C which is considered to be the appropriate parameter for the given registration substance.
