Description of key information

According to REACH regulation - Annex VII - Chapter 7.7 - Column 2 a study does not need to be conducted if the substance is hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9 (half-life less than 12 hours). The half live rates are <2h at any measured pH in a OECD111 study (s. IUCLID chapter 5.1.2). Therefore the test could not be performed. Instead a test with the hydrolytical product Tripropenyl succinic acid was performed.
According to ISO 4311 the critical micelle concentration of Tripropenyl succinic acid is 0.9 ± 0.09 g/L at 20°C.
The critical micelle concentration is the appropriate parameter describing water solubility of surface active materials.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.9 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
