Administrative data

First-aid measures

· General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.

· After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult a doctor in case of pain.

· After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.

If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

· After eye contact: Protect unharmed eye. Rinse the eyes with open eyelids for 10 - 15 minutes with water. Then consult an eye specialist immediately.

· After swallowing: Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water.

In case of unintentional swallowing of larger quantities or if any symptoms occur seek medical treatment.

· Information for doctor:

· Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed No further relevant information available.

· Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions)

Fire-fighting measures

· Extinguishing media

· Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, extinguishing powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment.

· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: None

· Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

In case of fire, the following can be released:Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide

· Advice for firefighters

· Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

· Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

· Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Avoid formation of dust.

Wear protective clothing.

Keep unprotected persons away.

· Environmental precautions:

Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course.

Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.

· Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Ensure adequate ventilation.

Pick up mechanically.

Avoid any dust formation. Pick up with a tested and approved industrial vacuum cleaner if necessary.

Make sure to recycle or dispose of in suitable receptacles.

Clean off

· Reference to other sections

See Section Exposure controls/personal protection for information on personal protection equipment.

See Section Disposal consoderations for disposal information.

Handling and storage

Handling:

· Precautions for safe handling

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Exposure controls / personal protection

· Additional Occupational Exposure Limit Values for possible hazards during processing:

Observe general threshold limit for dust.

· Exposure controls

· Personal protective equipment:

· General protective and hygienic measures:

The usual precautionary measures should be adhered to when handling chemicals.

Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working.

Vacuum clean contaminated clothing. Do not blow or brush off contamination.

Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.

Use skin protection cream for skin protection.

Avoid contact with the eyes.

After contact with eyes rinse immediately.

Do not inhale dust / smoke / mist.

Provide eye bath.

· Breathing equipment:

Not necessary if room is well-ventilated.

In case of unintentional release of substance, exceeding the occupational exposure limit value: In case of brief exposure or low pollution use a respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use a respiratory protective device that is independent of circulating air.

Short term filter device:

Filter P1.

· Protection of hands:

Chemical resistant gloves

The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.

Selection of the glove material in consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

· Material of gloves:

The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from

manufacturer to manufacturer.

For undissolved solid substances following materials may be suitable:

Butyl rubber, BR

Nitrile rubber, NBR

Polychloroprene rubber (CR)

Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM)

· Penetration time of glove material:

The exact penetration time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

· Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles.

· Body protection: Protective work clothing.

Stability and reactivity

· Reactivity

· Chemical stability

· Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.

· Possibility of hazardous reactions No dangerous reactions known.

· Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available.

· Incompatible materials: No further relevant information available.

· Hazardous decomposition products: No dangerous decomposition products known.

Disposal considerations

· Waste treatment methods

· Recommendation: Must not be disposed of together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.

Disposal according to instructions of local authorities.

· Uncleaned packagings:

· Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
