Additional information

As for other toxicological endpoints the results on skin and eye irritation have been shown to be consistent for ethyllinalool and its structural analogues linalool and dehydrolinalool. All 3 chemicals are skin and eye irritants as pure substances.

The respiratory irritation was not studied.

Effects on skin irritation/corrosion: irritating

Effects on eye irritation: irritating

Justification for classification or non-classification

The irritation/corrosion tests indicate that Ethyllinalool is irritating to the rabbit skin and eye.

Therefore, it can be concluded that the substance is irritating to the skin and irritating to the eye and therefore does need to be classified as such according to the criteria outlined in 1272/2008/EC (CLP/EU-GHS).
