Description of key information

The structure has been assessed for functional groups related to oxidising properties. No such functional groups were present in the structure, therefore no further testing was required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Test A17 / A21 need not be carried out when examination of the structural formula establishes beyond reasonable doubt that the substance has no oxidising properties.

In every respect of the oxidising properties exemption procedure, tBA Clavulanate does not show any evidence of possessing oxidising properties.

On the basis of this exercise, the material should be considered as not oxidising and should not be subjected to experimental testing. The material meets all criteria for exemption from testing and has a structure not at all conducive with that required to exhibit oxidising tendencies.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The structural formula has been assessed for oxidising properties, it has been concluded that no further testing is required as the substance does not possess any functional groups which are likely to show oxidising properties.Due to this the substance has not been classified.
