Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure for tBA Clavulanate has been shown to be 36.5 Pa at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
36.5 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Two studies were conducted for the endpoint vapour pressure. The key study is the study which has been undertaken on the substance TBA Clavulanate as this study has been undertaken on the actual test substance and conducted according to the appropriate guidelines. The vapour pressure for TBA Clavulanate was determined to be 36.5 Pa. We also have data for the read across material Potassium Clavulanate, this study has been assigned a klimisch reliability of 2 due to the use of read across. The vapour pressure for Potassium clavulanate was determined to be 32.5 Pa.

Both vapour pressure results on the test material abnd the surrogate test material are quite high which suggests that toxicity via the inhalation route may be a problem, however this will be investigated in more detail within section 7.2.2 of Iuclif.
