Description of key information

This substance's capability of depositing or sorbing to sediments is estimated as low due to log Koc = 1.567 (calc. by PCKOCWIN).
This substance is easily hydrolyzed into N-phenymaleamic acid, and this transformed substances are maleic acid and aniline.
Based on the biodegradation test using microorganisms, it was not likely toxic to soil macroorganisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

These endpoints are waived based upon REACH Annex IX Section 9.4 column 2 on grounds that the chemical safety assessment shows all RCRs are less than 1 from both direct and indirect exposure. The absence of indirect exposure is further supported by the substances low Koc value of 1.16.
