Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The obtained estimated ChV (chronic value, 21 days) of 23.95 mg/L confirmed low toxicity of test substance 'diallyl 2,2'oxydiethyl dicarbonate' to daphnid.
Since the multi-constituent to be registered (EC 700-483-4) contains as main ingredient 'diallyl 2,2'oxydiethyl dicarbonate', the experimental data from this substance were used in a read-across approach.
Executive summary:

The long-term toxicity value (Chronic Value, ChV) of Diallyl-2,2´-oxydiethyl dicarbonate for daphnids was determined by calculation. This calculation was performed by the computer program form US-EPA (EPIWIN software ECOSAR v1.00).

This program estimates the toxicity of chemicals discharged to water and predicts beside the acute (short-term) toxicity also the chronic (long-term or delayed) toxicity of a chemical. As result a chronic value (ChV) of 23.95 mg/L was calculated for daphnid (for 'diallyl 2,2'oxydiethyl dicarbonate').

Since the multi-constituent to be registered (EC 700-483-4) contains as main ingredient 'diallyl 2,2'oxydiethyl dicarbonate', the experimental data from this substance were used in a read-across approach.
