Description of key information

Non flammable upon ignition.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Flammability derived from flash point.

Based on the chemical structure, pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the classification and labelling criteria of Regulation N° 1272/2008, a liquid with a flash point ≤ 60°C is classified as a flammable liquid.

According to the classification and labelling criteria of Directive 67/548/EEC, a liquid with a flash point ≤ 55°C is classified as a flammable liquid.

With regard to its flash point, the substance is a non flammable liquid as it does not fulfil these criteria.
