Description of key information

The effect loading rate value obtained for an analogue or the test item after 72h of exposure (EL50 (growth rate) > 100 mg/L) was used to fill by read across the endpoint "Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria".

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study assessing the toxicity (growth rate) of Ethoxylated bisphenol A diacrylate (EC N. 613 -584 -2/CAS N. 64401 -02 -1) to aquatic algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) was used as a worst case to fill by read-across the endpoint "Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria" of the test item. The effect loading rate value after 72h of exposure was thus EL50 (growth rate) > 100 mg/L. The use by read-across of this data was supporting by a study assessing the toxicity of another analogue 2 moles ethoxylated bisphenol A dimethacrylate to the same species. The effect loading rate value after 72h of exposure was also EL50 (growth rate) > 100 mg/L.

See the read-across justification in annex for further informations.
