Description of key information

log Pow > 10  at 22 °C, pH 6

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The partition coefficient (log Pow =5.84 - > 12.92) of the substance glycerides, mixed C8-10 and succinyl (CAS 91744-56-8) was determined with HPLC according to OECD 117. Due to the fact the diglyceride component are with less than 5% contained, these values are to be disregarded. The partition coefficient (log Pow = 10.7) of the C8 triglyceride component is the lowest one experimentally determined which is contained with a noteworthy amount. Additionally the reference substance with the highest partition coefficient which could be determined, has a log Pow = 6.5. Therefore the partition coefficient of the substance is deduced to be > 10.

Determined by QSAR (KOWWIN calculation) for the single components, the C8 triglyceride FA component with lowest partition coefficient (log Pow = 9.2) is supporting.
