Description of key information

The substance can be regarded as a hydrocarbon with an acetal functional group (that is not typical acid / base moiety). It comports ionisable oxygens, but a SPARC calculation reveals that the pKa is > 10 (between 13.98 and 14.87). So following the "Guidance on information requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Chapter R.7.a" point R.7.1.17 we can say that the substance will tend not to dissociate in water under normal environmental conditions.

Therefore, a dissociation constant study is not required.
