Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to Annex XI section 2 of the Regulation EC 1907/2006; testing for a specific endpoint may be omitted, if it is technically not possible to conduct the study as a consequence of the properties of the substance.
It is known that Organometallic substances react with HPLC columns and so the test substance cannot be chromatographed through a liquid chromatography column in its intact form.
In conclusion, the adsorption coefficient of the test substance could not be performed according to the OECD 121 method, since it is not possible to specifically analyse the intact test substance. It should also be noted that the test substance rapidly hydrolyses in water and so the OECD 106 study is not considered to be an alternative.
An adsorption screening study is considered not technically possible due to the properties of the test material and due to the limitations of the test method.
