Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure)
Deviations:
no
Remarks:
The study was conducted according to the test guidelines in effect at the time of study conduct.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
effusion method: vapour pressure balance
Temp.:
25 °C
Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the test substance has been determined as 4.99E-7 Pa at 25ºC.
Executive summary:

Determination of the vapour pressure of the test substance was performed in accordance with EEC Directive 67/548, Annex V, A4 using the vapour pressure balance method. A conventional vapour pressure balance, using the CI Electronics micro-balance, was constructed with a sensitivity of 0.2 µg. Vapour pressure measurements were made over the temperature range 119 -181ºC, and the vapour pressure at 25ºC was calculated as 4.99E-7 Pa.
