First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Seek medical advice if discomfort or other symptoms develop or persist.

Skin contact: Wash off with soap and water.

Eye contact: Flush eyes with water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

Ingestion: If ingestion of a large amount does occur, seek medical attention. Rinse mouth with water.

General advice: No hazards which require special first aid measures.

Fire-fighting measures

Unusual fire & explosion hazards: None known.

Specific hazards: Not a fire hazard. The product itself does not burn but may support combustion at very high temperatures.

Fire fighting equipment/instructions: As appropriate for surrounding fire. Substance is not classified as flammable.

Accidental release measures

Containment procedures: Avoid allowing water runoff to the environment.

If sweeping of a contaminated area is necessary, ensure good ventilation and avoid formation of dust

Personal precautions: Keep unnecessary personnel away. Avoid inhalation of dust from the spilled material. Wear a dust mask if dust is generated above nuisance dust exposure limits.

Environmental precautions: Avoid uncontrolled run off to waterways and sewers. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained. Do not discharge undiluted into the sewer.

Methods for cleaning up: Sweep up or gather material and place in appropriate container for disposal. After removal flush contaminated area thoroughly with water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Normal work wear is suitable.

Avoid contact with eyes.

Hand protection: PVC or other plastic material gloves.

Eye protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields.

Skin and body protection: Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirts and long pants) is recommended.

Hygiene measures: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions of use.

No known hazardous reaction / decomposition products.

Disposal considerations

Do not empty into drains, dispose of this material and its container at hazardous or special waste collection point. Dispose of contents in accordance with local, state or national legislation.
