Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The following endpoints are waived: Selfreactivity and selfheating.

Additional information

Selfreactivity: based on testing (Source: Notox, 493873, DRAFT, June 2010, DSC, no exothermic effect up to 400°C)

Selfheating: based on testing (UN N4 test) and used as read across for KSCN (NaSCN chosen to test because of higher melting point)

Pyrophoricity- Since exposure to air during the self heating test (UN N4) did not lead to ignition, then certainly exposure to air without heating will not lead to ignition. Also experience with handling the substance indicates that it does not spontaneously ignite when exposed to air.
