Description of key information

Flash point (tetrapropyl orthosilicate): 85°C and 88°C (closed-cup method)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two reliable measured flash point data are available for the substance. Flash point values of 85°C and 88°C were determined for the substance using relevant closed-cup test method. The results are considered to be reliable and used as weight of evidence.

Flash point of 85°C and 88°C and a boiling point of 225 - 227°C, indicate that the substance should not be classified as a flammable liquid according to the criteria of Regulation 1272/2008/EC.
