Description of key information

Primary fatty amines are derived from natural sources (fatty acids). Their functional group (NH2) is linked to an unbranched, even numbered alkylchain within the range of C8-C22. Depending on the source their C-chain distribution is variable. Primary fatty amines appear either in a liquid state or as paste-like solids (waxy solids) at 20 °C and at 101.3 kPa. Thus, a study of the granulometry is scientifically not feasible. Additionally, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 Annex VII, 7.14 granulometry, no study is required if the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form.
Therefore, the study does not need to be performed
