Description of key information

The flammability is derived from its flash point. The flash points of the two main constituents TEG and TetraEG of the test substance are 176 °C and 182°C, respectively. Therefore, the test substance is considered to be non flammable. The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Flammability derived from flash point .

The substance has no pyrophoric properties and emit no flammable gases in contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available information, classification on flammability is not warranted in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation No. (EC) 1272/2008.
